6 weeks agoJob Title: IT/AV Integrator Location: New York Summary Responsible for designing, installing, and configuring integrated audio-visual systems across corporate, educational, and event environments. Ensures seamless interaction between AV, IT, and control systems to deliver efficient, user-friendly solutions that enhance communication and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Assess client needs and existing infrastructure to design customized, integrated AV systems. Develop system layouts, wiring diagrams, and signal flow plans for cohesive integration. Install and configure AV and IT components, including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, control panels, and network equipment. Perform cable management, mounting, and hardware setup to professional standards. Program control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX) for unified and intuitive operation. Configure software and network settings to enable seamless communication between AV devices. Connect and synchronize multiple systems (audio, video, lighting, conferencing) into a unified setup. Conduct system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. Provide technical documentation and user training for end-users and clients. Perform final system checks and verify all equipment operates as intended. Offer post-installation support and maintenance, resolving technical issues as needed. Applications and Environments Corporate: Video conferencing, wireless presentation, and digital signage solutions for offices and boardrooms. Education: Integrated AV systems for classrooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums. Venues: Complex sound, lighting, and video installations for theaters, arenas, and large event spaces. Skills and Qualifications Strong knowledge of AV and IT integration, networking, signal flow, and system control. Experience with control system programming (Crestron, Extron, AMX). Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex). Competence in troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and client-facing abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to manage multiple projects independently or within a team. Education and Experience Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred. Relevant certifications such as CTS (AVIXA) or Crestron/Extron programming credentials advantageous. Proven experience in AV installation, integration, or technical support roles. Work Environment Work performed across offices, schools, and large venues. May involve travel to installation sites. Requires lifting, cable management, and working at heights or in confined spaces. Flexible schedule depending on project deadlines and client needs.
